Help Upgrading to Droid X from Original Droid

I'm new to these forums, but I troll them frequently. I tried finding the answer to my question below, but couldn't come up with anything.

I currently have the original Droid with dozens of Apps. Is there an easy way to get all these apps, along with my settings (i.e. wallpaper, etc.) onto my new Droid X when it arrives without downloading each one from the market?

Also, does anyone know if the LauncherPro "restore" will work when changing phones, or will I have to go through that set-up process again?

Thanks!

You can get my backup pro, back up all your apps. Your app backups and your LP backup are stored on the SD. When you get your X, just swap out SD cards. Then all you need to do is download my back up pro on your X and restore your apps.

Make sure you upgrade your X to 2.2 before you do this or all your apps won't work (assuming your Droid is 2.2). Also if you root your Droid before backup, and root your X before upgrading to 2.2 then my backup pro will also restore all your market links with the apps.

sign in with AppBrain - the best Android apps and games on the Android market. It will sync your apps. When you get your new phone just d/l the list. Just don't sync with the new phone before you've d/l as this will erase your list!

GL!

I've downloaded AppBrain on my Droid and I've synched all my apps. Just to be clear, when I get my Droid X, I should install AppBrain and log-in. AppBrain will then give me the option to either "Synch" or "Perform Install". I should just use the "Perform Install" option, and it will synch with my online profile?

I'm glad I decided to ask about this!

FYI, I've been playing with my Droid X and wiped the phone a couple times. Twice now I've seen my freshly wiped Droid X create a new, empty list on AppBrain (instead of using the list that I created).

All I've had to do is log onto the website, go into my list full of apps, select them all, and copy them to the newly created list. Then the phone will see the apps and install them.

I'm sure it's probably something I'm doing wrong, but just in case you do the same thing wrong, it's easy to fix.
