The phone notification says "Low on space, phone storage space is getting low" I only have like 10 apps installed on this phone and I thought it's using flashdrive, no? If not, is there a way to install apps on flashdrive instead to the phone memory? What is the capacity of the internal memory anyway?

I never had this problem with iphone before and it's worrying me that I can't install many apps as I would like... Please help.

Thank you in advance,

Sin

The LG Ally doesn't have much internal memory its only has 126MB, so yes thats about 10 apps, and no you cannot install to SD Card until Froyo comes out, or you can root and do App2sd but thats complicated.

Well even with running the phone having all factory stock you should be able to install more than 10 apps. Just depends on the size of the apps you are installing. Try finding ways to free up RAM. The only way i could think of doing this without any rooting procedures would be to try using a 3rd party launcher or even the Android stock one. (I don't like the LG stock launcher at all so i never bothered with it.)

The ally has 512MB of internal memory, This is split up between into different partitions (4 I believe) when all is said and done you will have 152MB available (using Velocity ROM or Ultra Light) this should be enough room for you to install quite a few apps, as long as you dont install too many games. I have had over 50 on my phone at one point, each app will vary allot in size, but so far the largest one I have seen is google earth (43MB)

Also it looks like they have gotten apps2sd to work with the Dapper Duck build, I havent tested it myself though

i got app2sd working too an extent, but it caused too many stability issues so i pulled it, but i am working on getting it working properly and would like to include it in the updates in the future.

I did install HOME++ after reading one of the post comparing few of the home app. After all is done, looks like I have around 70MB free on my phone for other apps. I guess that will do for now considering 2-5MB for each apps.

Your RAM and internal storage is 2 different things. RAM is used to run apps and keep their information to restore apps fast. RAM is very fast memory to keep track of things for the CPU. Internal storage is usually slow and is only used to install apps but it does not run them. However in the LG Ally internal storage can be used as RAM so it has RAM+Internal storage for speed, so more apps less speed, less apps more speed.
