Hello All,

I have recently got myself a HTC desire, this is my first touch screen phone (so also my first android phone) I was once rather put off by the though of touch screen phone as on my friends had a Samsung thing that he ended out having to use a pen so it would recognise his selections but the desire has really impressed me.

Anyway enough of my wittering, i just wanted to say hi and ask if anyone could recommend so good apps.

Also i have noticed i can not install the apps to my memory card meaning i have to keep uninstalling things, anyway to have then moved to the memory card?

Hi and welcome! The only way you can install apps on your sd card is if your fone has the froyo update, which I don't know if it does yet. Check it out here: HTC Desire - Android Forums They'll help ya!

Don't wish to come across as silly but phone is set to update itself so should i not already have this or is it not available yet on the desire.. PS i am on t-mobile uk.

Don't be silly! You're not silly, silly! (I'm so confused).

Ok.. what I understand you to be asking if the apps are auto updated or if the apps are automatically on the phone oooor if you auto update to froyo. So, I'll answer them all

1) apps will auto update with a froyo setting.

2) some apps are already on the phone, but you have to select extra ones you like.

3) Froyo is an over the air auto update, yes.

Thanks again, just done a google search on froyo and found out that tmobile uk wont be update us until end of September, but this has not be confirmed to be correct on the tmobile forum. Anyway thanks again for your help.
