Accessories Got my car dock (not the Sprint one)

I just got it in the mail today, ordered it from eBay for 6 bucks with shipping. Its not the official one but it is custom made for the Evo. Has a hole for the camera too. Very snug fit, uses the standard 4 square hole snap in system (can't remember what its called...MIPPS maybe?). I took some quick pics, I will add them when I get a chance. Nice! I'm using my universal mount that I bought for my TP2 for $8 shipped on ebay a year ago. Works great with my Evo. I think its crazy to spend the money for the official one....

I just ordered this. For the price you can't pass it up. I already have the HTC car dock but I can use this in my office or another car. Thanks for the recommendation/review.

Shipping was about 2-2 1/2 weeks but for 6 bucks I can't complain. You can hook up the charger and 3.5mm when it in the dock. The quality is wayyy higher then what I expected, extremely sturdy even on these bumpy New England roads.

Does that dock work with the Seidio Innocase II Surface? Or does it have to be removed before putting it in?

Cases won't fit, you'd have to take it off. The dock is very snug.

I'm not sure what you mean by funky. I've had tons of car cradles for everything from GPS unit's to phones to sat radio's and it is pretty standard. I'd say the official car dock is a tad more funky in it's design. Anyway I'm uploading a couple pics now.

Get a cheap snap on evo case off ebay for like $2 and glue it on the clip. (cutting the curved parts off of course). i bought the parts to do it myself but ended up liking the $2 clip on case and never glued it on the mount haha.

For those of you that wanted a similar form factor to the Garmin mount, I was searching around for car mounts that would work with my EPIC (already have the OEM for the EVO) and I found this.
