60,000 Captivate users - is that all?

If we believe the news about Firmware OTA rollout and read what is said in the message "rolling out updates 15,000 per day Tuesday thru Friday", makes it the total 60,000. Is that all the total Captivate users? Seem very low when Samsung is claiming millions sold/shipped. If this is true and is only 60,000, can one really expect great support from AT&T when compared to other phones they have sold running in millions. Just a thought.

That's all over the world. I would assume that majority of Smart Phone customers on AT&T are using iPhones, plus a lot of people on AT&T did give up on Captivate and switched to either iPhone or HTC Aria.

And let's face it, most people who want an Andoird based phone, go with either Verizon or T-Mobile.

So I'm actually not surprised that it's a relatively low number.

When Samsung claims "millions" shipped they are probably talking about the entire Galaxy S line. Strangely enough, I'm yet to run into another Captivate user. In fact, I've had to explain what the captivate is to a few people :)

Well lets jsut say these are the test bed of users, we dont actually know the numbers, but I would guess more than 60K Captivates Nationwide. The funny thing is people still think that my Captivate is the new Iphone lol...

Oh yeah, while I havent seen any in the wild, I know two family members of mine have one and a few of my fiancees co-workers have one. Most the other people I know have either BBs, T-Mobile, or old Iphones, so I dont have much of a sample size for ATT to choose from.
