Show us your Desire Homescreens...

I thought that you were being sarcastic, that's why i said to you "i'll leave you alnoe now" :)

Oh and BTW, how many icons are in that buff download!!!! Hundreds!! lol

You not a guide anymore mate?

Honestly, complete accident. Sorry. I don't mind helping anyone out.

Errr, about 1400 .png files. Looooooooooooads.

Yeah, I resigned from being a guide. Wasn't for me. Just moving threads all the time. I prefer helping people.

Guys - I currently have Launcherpro on my unrooted Desire and I've loaded a number of Widgets. However a few problems...

Firstly, if I turn my phone off and back on I lose a number of Widgets in the Homescreens. The following message appears where the Widgets were....'problem loading gadget'. When I go into Widgets they've disappeared but when I go into the Market they say they are installed. At the moment I've been reinstalling them but I find it very frustrating to keep doing this. The Widgets I lose are Astrid Tasks, Audio Manager, Sd card storage to name a few but I don't lose all my non-HTC widgets. I don't constantly turn my phone on and off but like today I had to remove the SD card to print some photos from a photo booth so when I turned the phone back on...wham, Widgets had disappeared.

Secondly, I have the Icons-ibox widgets that I load through Bettercut to the Homescreen but I also want to use these Widgets in the Dock. Each time I've tried to change the Dock icon with an ibox icon it loads it straight to the Homescreen instead of the Dock. I'm sure I've seen the ibox icons being used in the Dock section on some of the photos posted on here...please correct me if I'm wrong.

Any help will be appreciated (yes, I am a newbie to all this)

I got some ideas from previous posts and have ended up with this:

I should really blur the missus out..but that photo was the background on the other shots I took...so what the hell :)

I used a lot of buuf icons, a couple of random (Facebook and Twitter) and even made one myself..the Desire showing my old Homescreen layout :)

I had thought about doing text icons like some of the others on here, but when I saw the buuf stuff I was blown away.

Cheers

Music Mod (Music Mod (Froyo Only) - Android app on AppBrain)

The widget seems to be more stable than others I have tried...I don't play enough music on the phone to warrant buying a music player along with the rest of the purchases this week :)

I wasn't to try this player, but AppBrain keeps saying I only have 2.1. I assume it's cause my Froyo is a custom mod, and not an official update. Anyway of tricking it in to thinking I DO have Froyo installed?

What Custom ROM do you have? I have tried quite a few Froyo customs and they all correctly report 2.2 to the market. Not sure how to get around your issue, sorry.

@PureLoneWolf

wat is the clock and weather widget u r using.
this is launcher pro plus, rite.the calender app is better than the LP one

Beautiful Widgets Home Weather Widget (with the DarkEdged skin downloaded from within the app) for the clock/weather and the LP+ Calendar widget.

Hey guys,
I'm new here and i have not yet received my desire but i am a little confused about something so please bear with me a little =)

As i know the desire has some kind of curved shape at the bottom of the screen which contains ( a circle, phone , + sign ) when you just bought the phone, and i've seen many of the home screens to have different icons at the bottom,

so my question is do you have to be rooted to change the original HTC layout?

No, a lot of people (inc me :D) use Launcher Pro Plus which allows you to mess about with the row of icons you see at the bottom as well as various other things.

The widgets that are not there are saved to your SD card, save them to internal memory.

thanks. tried out beautiful widgets. uninstalled it after a look around.
i liked the weather widget in it, its really cool. great animations and all. but the rest of the toggles, I like the 'switchpro' ones more, for which i already paid ;-)
hope its refunded, as I uninstalled it within 5-6 hrs after install. one day is it, for refund??
