App to auto-delete message threads?

I have been searching but so far have not found the answer to this question: is there an app to automatically delete threads when they get to a certain length or if they have been inactive past a certain date?

my old phone just autodeleted the oldest text once you got past 100, and while it is nice to have more memory than that I do not want to go through my threads and manually delete them to stop them from taking up too much memory. anyone know/use such an app?

I know it's simple to do but I'm not always thinking of it, and I dont think its unreasonable to want a smarth phone to have a feature that even the most basic phones have: deleting texts when they are old.

but so far that is exactly what I have been doing, deleting when I remember, but as someone who builds up 40 or so threads a day, it gets a little old to go to each and hit delete one by one. and i notice it freezes up a little/takes awhile with threads that are over 100, dont even want to try for 600 haha

I have a thread with almost 2000 messages and every time I try to delete the thread the whole phone freaks out. The message screen goes blanks and I have to restart the phone but then the messages are still there. There has got to be a way to get rid of these.

2000 messages  ... man, I had one with about 250 and it took a minute or so to delete it. I dont let them get over 50 now. Sorry I dont have an answer for you, that blows.

yes you can still get your paid apps backafter a wipe as long as you use the same gmail account. must get asked this 100 time everytime i suggest a wipe.

How do they prevent you from moving a purchased app from one phone to another then? For instance, a former G1 owner upgrades their phone and their carrier to Verizon and gets a Eris or DROID ... they use the same gmail account as they had on their G1. Are you saying they can download the app to their new phone without paying for it again?

your esn on your phone. the google network logs them along with your gmail account on every purchase. that's how the market knows you downloaded which app on you phone after a wipe. not perfect cause if you switch phones or maybe cariers not sure which it is you lose your paid apps. never had to return my g1.

that's why when i moved from my g1 to my new eris i backed up my paid apps which i won't say how to do here. then installed them on my new phone.
