G2 Case and/or Protector Recommendations

So...just got my G2, and I'm looking to get a case to keep my new baby from harm in this big scary world of ours.

Any suggestions?

It seems searching for a "G2 case" brings up a lot of things that don't look compatible, i.e. HTC Magic cases and such.

I'm ideally looking for a hardcase, kind of like the otterbox, but right now I just want some kind of protection on this little fella so he's not out there bare-backing in the streets.

I haven't seen any, sorry. But really, this thing is metal unibody, it practically is its own case. Even the screen is pretty tough; don't know for sure if it's gorilla glass, as I haven't been brave enough to take a key to it, but mine is still as good as new despite heavy use.

Good luck finding a case, though. Let me know what other G2 accessories you find, I haven't spotted any.

Who needs a case for this bad boy? Add a case to it and you are literally carrying a brick around. Honestly, this thing feels real solid to me....as such no case for me.

Yeah I agree.

I have the OEM Gel Case (black) and it adds a lot of thickness to it. Although it's really grippy.

Here's a link to a quick review of the OEM Black Gel Case from T-Mobile ($16.99)

As much as I love the Ti finish on the G2 case, I know my limitations. My old blackberry would be dropped at least once a week.

I need a case that gives me a little more grip, and has padding around the edges to protect the phone in case of a drop.

I picked up the OEM rubber/silicon case from the T-Mob store ($15?) and dropped the phone after 2 days from about 4 feet - and the case absorbed the impact and all is well. It provides protection without making the phone bulky. It does not hinder the opening of the keyboard, and all the buttons/inputs remain accessible. Sadly it covers up the beautiful Ti skin of the G2. Oh well...

In the past I have used cases from Speck (rubber/silicon) and Case-Mate (leather) but neither seem to have released cases for the HTC G2 as yet.
