Help Call blocking on G2

Hey,

I am new to Android and have been setting it up carefully. I realized that I am in dire need of a good call blocker because now my minutes are finite. I tried the Call Block app and found it not responsive. I had to enter the number more than once for it to register and for some reason, I also felt that system was slowing down just a tad. I'm not sure.

I am writing to ask if anyone else has had similar experience with Call Block and if there is a better app.

Yes, I tried Google Voice. No, i don't want to change my number. No, just subscribing to their voicemail service does not give you the privilege to block calls/sms.

"Call blocker?"

Why not just customize the phone to not ring when the calls you're avoiding come in? Go to a contact, hit menu, choose options, and check "send straight to voice mail." If you don't want to clutter up your contacts list, just make a single "reject" contact and add all the numbers to it. If you'd rather have the phone only ring when people you know call, set the default ringtone to silent and have those people have custom ringtones.

Why is this a big deal, anyways? You don't HAVE to answer if someone calls. It's not like it costs you minutes for it to go to voice mail.

That is a nice suggestion. I asked this question after I got a spam call. I don't know by looking at the number if I know the person or not and Call Blocker had the ability to choose a number from the Call Log and add it to its black list. But I like this approach better, even though you have to manually update your spam list.

Relevant to this, how many numbers can you add per contact?
