Hello,
You may have heard that we have a new premium product in the works and today we're excited to tell you more about it. We will continue to offer our award-winning essential security for free, but soon you'll be able to get even more security and privacy protection for your phone with Lookout Premium.

What This Means For You
As a reminder, nothing changes for you as a current user - unless you want it to! You can continue using the same great Lookout features you currently have, free of charge. While we will continue to offer a free product, a few of our free features will become premium features for new users and, as we're announcing today, we're adding new premium features too. If you want to upgrade to Lookout Premium, you'll have the option to do that.

Quick Summary:
- We will continue to offer a great free version of Lookout to all users.
- Anyone who is a Lookout user by November 15 (midnight, US PST) will continue to get all the free features available in Lookout today
- You'll have the option to upgrade to Lookout Premium on November 16.
- Lookout Premium will be available for all Android devices.

*NEW Lookout Premium includes all the great free features PLUS:

Additional Security + Privacy Protection
+ Privacy Advisor: Protect your privacy by understanding which apps can access your private data
+ Remote Wipe: Remotely wipe your data (including your SD card) if your phone is lost for good
+ Remote Lock: Secure your phone by remotely locking it from the web

Enhanced Backup + Restore (free for existing users like you!)
+ Back up and restore photos and call history, in addition to contacts
+ Transfer data to a new phone

Premium Support
+ Priority response to all your issues and questions

Pricing
- Monthly Subscription: $2.99 / month
- Annual Subscription: $29.99 / year
- All users will have the option for a 30-day Free Trial of Lookout Premium

I think thats quite a lot really.

Yup, that's the end of me using that app.

Well, I hope they don't copy Shazam, who swore up and down that existing users would be grandfathered into their paid app, only to remove that promise on an update, so some long time users (who didn't check the comments) lost their unlimited usage that they had before. I'm all for developers getting paid for their work, but I worry that this promise won't be upheld.
