I have to send my phone back too. I just used DM Updater to revert back to FRG22D (no root). It's as simple as...

1) Make sure your App settings allow you to install from "Unknown Sources".
2) Go to www.droidmod.org with your phone's browser.
3) Scroll down to the "DroidMod Updater 12" heading (8/22/10), and click on the link to download and install the app on your phone. (make sure you tap the notification that the download has completed to proceed with install)
4) Open DM Updater and choose the non-rooted ROM of your choice. It will download and install... DONE.
