Help Handcent force closing after using camera

If this has already been answered please direct me in the right direction and delete my post.
When I am having a conversation thread and I am responding, I open settings, attach, from camera, take a picture, and hit save. Once I hit save, Handcent force closes. I have tried to uninstall it and re-install it. I tried the same thing on the stock app and at first it didn't work but then I went into rom manager and went into JT's stuff and downloaded the stock MMS.apk, that did the trick for the stock messaging app but Handcent is still doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem and haven't found a solution. The only thing I know, is that even though handcent force close, the picture was still saved on the phone, so when I go back into handcent, i attach the picture from the gallery.

I guess you should write to the developers or comment on their app in the market.

That's a good suggestion. Just hate to take the extra steps.
I wrote to them. If I get an answer I will post it on here. I hate to use the stock app because I love the pop up feature that Handcent offers. Wish the stock one had it. Tried Chomp, for me I did not like it, some people swear by it, to each his own. I know there was a stock messaging app that was in the cyanogen builds that had extra features added to it. I tried to look for it but haven't had any luck. I will keep looking though or if anyone can provide a link that would be great.
