So AppBrain has a new update in market that allows you to enable Fast Web installer in the application instead of downloading their FWI App.

I go into preference to enable FWI, and message says Google has made Fast Web install impossible in the latest upgrade of the Android Market which is installed on my device.

Just found it funny since the update today has a feature that cant be used.

With that said, i still love Appbrain. For the week or so FWI app used to work, I liked it.

I see exactly the same issue as FramCire. This was the only hit when I searched for it on Google.

It's the latest update to the Android Market app that's the problem. Don't do that update and the AppBrain Fast Web Installer app works fine. Once you update the Market app, the Fast Web Installer gets hosed.

The market updated itself i didnt come up with a notification or anything about it. i just saw it downloading briefly.

well that just sucks. I wonder if Google is going to open this up again? or maybe they didn't even mean to break it?

Yep, I just noticed that fast web install stopped working, and saw this error.
Google disabled it becuase they are working on the PC version of android market, which will support "web installs". I assume it'll be released with 2.3. See this video (around 1:30): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Dri-8Sx3OA
He even promotes it like they came up with it, when appbrain's been doing it for months. Wireless music streaming seems pretty sweet.
