Root N1 Internal Memory Spec + Froyo = Bad News

I love my N1, but:

The internal flash memory is only 512 MB. This is limited to 190 MB available by default. That's very poor.

Only 10% of my 116 Android apps will load to SD card in Froyo. Most developers didn't update Froyo's "move to SD card" feature. That was the main reason I was waiting for 2.2.

So the flash memory status, given very limited space for apps, is bad news.

Just saying . . .

Have you tried moving your app's to SD card?

Settings > Applications > Manage applications > here you can select an app and move it to SDcard.

90% of my app's are on SDcard, I leave app's like Live Wallpaper, Keyboard, LauncherPro, etc; on the phone as they will not be available if you connect your phone by USB.

Some of the app's that work perfectly well on SDcard are...

Adobe Air 10.68MB
Adobe Flash Player 7.09MB
Adobe Reader 3.11MB
Nimbuzz 3.79MB
RockPlayer 8.81MB
ROM Manager 3.06MB
Skype 4.90MB
Plus a whole host of smaller app's.

I am currently running on 60MB free on Internal Memory.

Hope this helps you. :D
