you just need to push it to your sdcard, and insert the --install into the persistant root file.

But people are doing it, we'll get the outputs we need. It's a step closer to cooked ROMs

Thanx Ozyman for posting this here. I was actually in the midst of posting it when I saw that you did. I need feedback. Has it worked for everyone, and for the person who said to put the --install in the root file can you please explain further. I also have a thread on alldroid.org about the partitions that are on the behold, its like 20 +. One awesome thing about this device is that it has 5 CPU governors, they are revealed and accessable with SetCPU from the market, also if anyone does not like the MMS/SMS app that comes with the phone there is a solution. You can download the SMS/MMS from XDA thats modded and it will install. Thanks again.. Lets get some Custom ROMS on here.

PS: To access Fastboot mode hold left dpad key + Power
To Access recovery mode hold vol down + send + power, then home+power will show the recovery module.

Why dont u install busy box symlinks too instead of just copying it?

/system/bin/busybox --install -s /system/bin/

and symlink to cp too

busybox cp -s busybox cp

If its not persistant just add it into the persistant root playlogo

actually dpadleft+power is command line mode. for me fastboot is voldown+call+power+cube

So now that there's persistent root and busybox, how close is a custom rom?

I think that may only happen when either 1)the devs get their hands on the update image, or 2) are some how able to make an image of whats currently on the phone. Like with the psp, the devs were able to move forward when they got the update they could crack.

i believe thats how they rooted the droid, via update file.

also i believe we have odin firmware files for the behold 2, its an older build but maybe we could use that to make custom builds?
