i understand this might be a known issue (radio crash after froyo update). anybody know what to do?

rooted my phone awhile ago... upgraded to Froyo a couple days ago (leaked FROYO.DJ29) and things were moving along pretty well. today while the phone was sitting inactive, it decided to go into airplane mode.

the last thing it did was try to download a google maps update.

i'm completely unable to get out of airplane mode. if i unselect it, it says "turning on wireless connections..." but never finishes that. resetting doesn't help. taking the battery out doesn't help.

in fact, the date on the phone reset to December 31, 2004.... any help would be super appreciated!!

Restore your backup. Flash a different ROM. Restore to stock using ODIN. Pick one :)
so my noob issue is using odin at what point do i actually go into odin because i need to flash back to stock from dk17 because i lost my phone service i did a titanium back up but again noob here not sure what to do with the file that has all my data

If you need to go back to stock, you would have to use odin. Perhaps try a different ROM first (be sure to wipe data/cache/dalvik 3 times each).

I'm old school... I prefer to set everything back up from scratch. I've seen too many people have problems with titanium backup.

Ok so I was actually able to flash back to a di18 zip through clockwork without odin and it worked where I had messed up was not using odin to flash the modem.tar and pit I needed for dk17 so when I did that first then flashed dk17 it fixed my issue of having my phone flicker airplane mode on and off. It was like I had 2.2 but without that modem no service

I had this problem with my Galaxy Tab and I tried everything possible. Every service I called told me to format it but that didn't do crap. Finally I gave up and planed on sending it in but I forgot. After a weeks time it's battery died and when I charged it to send it in finally, BAM!! It worked. Just let the battery run out and see if it solves your problem.
