Help SD Card issues

I have had an LG Ally for about 3 weeks now, so I'm still a total newbie.

I keep getting this message that says my memory is full, the a few minutes later one will say Text Messages aren't being delivered because my messages are full ( I have my max. messages set really high too and it usually only has like 30 messages in it when it says I'm full). I have a 4 GB SD Card in and NOTHING is saving to it. I have to actually move my pictures over to my SD Card so the only thing on it is like 10 pictures.

I have been through the phone like 20 times trying to figure out what the deal is. I can't figure out how to save anything to the SD Card or how to set it up so things go there automatically, etc.

HELP!!!!!

What are you trying to get to go there automatically? Text messages and apps do not go there at all.

so basically what you are saying is I can only have like 40 text messages and 5 apps on my phone or I will have no space? That's ridiculous. There has to be some way to make more space on my phone. If there isn't, I have ten days left before my 30 days are up and I will be returning it.

Return it. My wife has the same problem. We are trying to wait to get the HTC Merge. I have the Droid 2 and have never had that problem.

Are your 5 apps massive? Because that's definitely not the norm...

That's not normal.

For giggles go to SETTINGS ==> SD CARD AND PHONE STORAGE. What does the phone say for total space and available space?
