ok i was wondering there are two mail icons one is a mail box and the other is a gmail logo is there anyway to get rid of one of those do you really need both of those apps can't you just use one or the other all my mail is sent to both of those and i just think that this is just overkill or how do you disable one or the other?

You cannot uninstall either. If you want to remove the icon from your homepage just hold it down until it can move and then drag it to the red remove area.

no no i want to get rid of one of those permanently is it safe or am i taking a risk

it's built into the OS. Can't uninstall them.

Why is your mail sent to both? You can go into the Mail program and delete all the accounts there and it won't have anything to check. Gmail will automatically check the gmail account that you set your phone up with.
