Help I'm getting a Transform, but I have some questions.

Okay, so I was wondering which had a better looking screen, the Hero or the Transform? I have a Hero now and I like the colors and the look of the screen, I know they both have the same resolution but someone told me the Hero looks nicer than the Transform and all the Transform has going for it is the fact that it's 3.5 versus 3.2. Is this true? Please help!

Also, if I ignore the Spint ID I have heard that the phone runs perfectly fine and is pretty zippy but once you screw around with the iD the phone can lag a bit, should I be fine if I just ignore iD, I have no use for it since I'll be customizing it myself without preloaded junk.

Also, I don't plan to root or do anything techy, I'm just a person who loved to play with apps, web browsing and texting. Thanks!

I'm not looking for the worlds best Android phone, I'm just looking for a phone that I can web browse with on a larger screen than my Hero, I want to be able to play music and to have a real keyboard, but the reviews for this phone seem to be 50/50 and some of the stories have been horrifying. I don't plan on using ID so it will just be stock android without the iD packs, I do plan on downloading apps for fun and whatnot, but I want to know that this phone is good before I invest into it.

I too came from a Hero. Don't let the tech blogs get you down, it is a solid experience. I have found it to be a great device that looks and feels great. The music player works perfect and the keyboard is spacious. It is nice to have a keyboard as an option, typing on glass got annoying after a year. Oh yeah, the phone feature sounds great.

The browser speed isn't any better than the Hero, but I thought the hero was fine. I browse mobile versions of sites or rss feeds, so no biggie. The signal indicater shows less bars than my Hero, but I get the same connectivity. The only thing I would critize is the flash on the camera is slow and a too bright.

In the end, a solid build at really good dimensions, that looks professional and sleek sold me.
