App for entertaining or distracting babies, toddlers and pets.

I'm looking for a fun app/game that can be used for toddlers (babies) and pets to let them play with the (capacitive) touch screen.

It has to be something that simply gives an entertaining visual display and sound feedback to the touches of the toddler or pets anywhere on the touch-screen. It must also be full screen and all buttons must be locked (or maybe the buttons can also provide similar feedback), and to exit out of it, a complex child-proof gesture or button sequence must be used.

I tried searching for such an app on Android (both Market and Google) but couldn't find one at all. Considering that there are many for iphone!!

Try toddlerlock. It lets the child draw on the screen and makes sounds. It also locks all of the buttons so they can't get out of it accidently.

Any others? Don't want to be limited to just shapes and drawing. I like the string app and the piano demoed in the youtube video above.

There are a couple of bubble apps. One you blow in the mic and it makes bubbles on screen to pop. The other one makes bubbles as you run your fingers over the screen, then you can pop them. They are both called Bubbles, one is by Squishy Things Inc. and the other is from Mobile Creative Group. I don't use them much, because my toddlers like to touch the buttons and get out of the game. That's why I like toddlerlock so much.

Other than those, I can't say. I haven't done much searching, as my niece pointed me to these.

Outfit7 Ltd also has "Talking Santa" specially released for Christmas! I have that on my phone, even uploaded a Santa-punching video to my facebook lol.

yep, ToddlerLock is a nice app. Another one app with lock mode is "Happy Baby Faces". Our baby loves watching pictures with babies. The best part I can upload our pictures as well, so he can recognize his parents, grandpa and grandma and his buddies. Rattles is a great idea too!

He also likes Talking Tom - he bursts in laugh when the cat talks back to him!

Yes the application for Toddlers needs to be simple, no complex navigation stuffs but simple and beautiful bright colors and sound.
