What does this mean in terms of Fascinate ROMs?

How much of an issue is it that the Fascinate is CDMA and the Nexus S (which is the only phone officially running Gingerbread) is GSM?

Just curious to hear from the experienced among us.

Honestly it doesn't mean much....froyo is in open source and that hasn't gotten us past 2.1 yet....i believe its gsm based anyway and radio files from cdma carriers are needed.

Basically the devs are really talented and once we have 2.2 that may get us gingerbread and completed also 2.2....but we ll see

yeah, im very happy with the progress they are making...but ive kinda come to a contented place with this phone....where im ok with what we have, but will be very happy to wake up to some *great* news at some point

Yeah same boat here 100%, I totally believe in bird but we all know how close he was/is/has been on 2.2 and RIL. So I would except this from him anytime from today to February honestly. Im just content where we are at too. Now that we have super uv kernels at all steps there isnt much more we can have on 2.1 methinks

i mean really....we have live wallpapers with 2.1!!!..what else do you *really* need besides that
