The thing is that the DHD has some newly designed sound circuits in it, making it one of the best qualities on the market right now when it comes to headphone plug ins. It boosts the sound and should make it more clear from what I've gathered. I'm at least very happy with the sound quality coming out of my DHD, and I use it daily with Spotify Premium
!
As for the controllers, I would recon the Nokia system would not work on the DHD, as Nokia have been HUGE fans of making their own systems for as long as they have existed. Me (and basically any other real consumer in the world) would wish the companies could create standards on EVERYTHING, so as to give us users the full choice. And companies are starting to agree on standards, however they are always trying to find loop holes in this standard and create their own versions to get monopoly on the system, and it's really frustrating. If you want a music controller that will work cross-platform, you will highly likely need to buy it from a company that is independent from the phone (e.g. jabra, senheiser, etc)
. It sucks, but thats how it is
