Easy way to transfer contacts from old phone?

I used to have tmobile with a walmart bought nokia 7900 hundred or something, so as you can imagine the droid is quite an upgrade for me. Anyway is there some sort of way I can transfer my contacts short of going through all 300+ number individually?
I think Verizon will able to help you if you go their company store with the old phone. They've done this for me once upon a time.

You have two options. Since you mentioned "easy" the easiest is to take it to Verizon and they will transfer all your contacts in about 30 seconds. The alternative is to go to gmail and enter all the info you want manually, and let it sync to the phone. It is much easier through a computer rather than the phone, but that depends on if you have a lot of contacts or not.

I have a RAZR and Verizon offered this "service" to me when I got my DROID. They transfered over a whole whopping 39 of my 600+ phone numbers. :( What a joke! My friend who went from a BB to a DROID had the exact same experience. It may be worth a shot ... but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Thank goodness I had all my contacts in an Excel Spreadsheet. ;)

Which leads me to my suggestion. Is there any way to get your contacts imported into an Excel spreadsheet, or at least a CSV file? The data port on the Nokia 7900 appears to be a Micro USB port just like the DROID's. I would do a Google search for data software that would support backing up your contacts. Or perhaps some surfing on Nokia forums would do you a lot of good. Once you have a CSV file, you just log into your GMail account and IMPORT. TADA! Done deal. Within a minute, all of those contacts will get sent to your DROID OTA. :)
