Location based time tracking application

I travel to different places to visit clients and spend few hours with each client any given day. Most of the time I am busy or forget to use a time tracker application to log my time in and time out. Are there any application out there that track time spent on a specific location. I use locale but it doesn't give me time spent at specific a location. Thanks advance.

You might give the app "GPS Tracker" a try ... it works in the background and records fixes as you move around ... you can then go online view those tracks ... and get time and location, i think even altitude info off of every fix ... the data can be extract to a file viewed in excel or even made available to other apps ...

You could go in and view when you first arrived at a location and then scan forward in fixes and see when you let the location and started moving to your next location ...

I just ran across this post and am about to get a droid myself. I am wondering which app you were referring to. I found multiple gps tracker apps, but not sure which one by that name. I found one by instatracker...

I am needing to find a good password keeper app, docs to go makes for droid so should be good there, mileage and time tracking as well. I am moving from my Storm 2 to a Droid...long story, but im pissed and excited LOL...thx in advance

InstaTracker is the Name of the System app and is good.

Suggest that you post requests in Droid ... because many apps are not working on Droid yet...

Please try out the new android application "timr". There's a great new GPS position tracking feature - it might be exactly what you're looking for. I've been using timr with my employees for 3 months already. It offers great and easy time tracking without any further synchronisation as well as logbooking and GPS position tracking. Great suggestions! Personally, for time tracking, I'm currently using time doctor. Deciding on what to use maybe tricky so I suggest you have to have a research first for you to know what's the best thing to use for your business.

You can use DroidSecureMe and set geofence log. It help to record you logs of time in or time out.

I am in the same boat. I constantly move from location to location and I need to log my hours based on when I arrive and leave. Here is how I do it without having to remember to do anything. First of all Google Latitude will pretty much do everything that you want. It is very smart and only turns on the GPS at various intervals and doesn't quick-drain your battery. You turn it on in Maps settings. You will get a bunch of warnings and emails occasionally to remind you you are being tracked. The problem with it is it is time consuming to go back through your history.

Here is the app I use every day and it isn't even designed for the job. It is called Carfinder AR. The app is designed to keep track of your car, should you forget where you parked it. What is very cool about this program is that it will locate your car based on a bluetooth shut-down event when you install the apps separate bluetooth module. Here is how it works. I arrive at a client's location and turn off my vehicle. The location is automatically entered in my Google calendar. I have a calendar I only use for location stamping, so I can turn that on and off with the click of a mouse. I then get back in my truck and go to the next client's location. Getting in the car isn't logged, but when I get out for the next job or get home, the location is logged. I bill for travel time too, so knowing only my disconnection times pretty much tells me all I need to know. If not latitude will fill in the blanks.
