Just trying to get some advice from some of you N1 users. Ive heard alot of good and bad things about it. Such as the dust under the screen. That would bug me to death! Im currently using the mytouch but im just tired of it and wanting to move up.

So should i go with the N1? Or go with a milestone? Or how bout an unlocked hero? Hmmmmm decisions decisions could sure use some advice!

I came from a mytouch and its like night and day to me. My Mytouch would lag up after a while(seem to lag when you have a lot of apps installed) and got the nexus and practically no lag what so ever. Glad I switched. Love the Starfield live wallpaper, i have a lot of apps installed and no lag, except for the occasional hiccup. Nothing like the mytouch lag.

I'd go for the nexus one, but if you're not due for an upgrade you pay the price so..

Where are you located at?

If you're in EU/Asia, either N1 or Milestone will be good choices are these two have larger screens compared to the Hero.

If you're in US, you have a couple options
N1 if you want to get 3G with T-Mobile

Milestone if you want to get 3G with AT&T AND you can wait for TELUS Canada to release this phone there. Which probably won't happen this month according to the latest rumors

Hero GSM won't give you any 3G unless (again) you import it from Canada but why bother with Hero if you can get Milestone imported from Canada to get AT&T 3G

Hero Sprint means you'll be stuck using CDMA

Im in the states. I think the milestone is pretty sweet looking phone some people say its ugly idk why. I think my best bet is to go with the N1

heh I love Droid/Milestone look... and i LOVE the chin on EU Hero.

Anyhow, if you wanna go with milestone, you have to wait for the TELUS canada version... otherwise you won't be able to use the 3G here :D

I think im going to get the N1. Do you own a nexus one? If so have you had any problems at all with it such as the dust i hear about

Me and 3 other people I work with that have the phone have not had the dust under the screen problem. I would also suggest going with the N1, that snapdragon processor is simply amazing, multitasking at its finest and no slowdowns.

I'm in the UK & came from a Hero & I think the Nexus is truly a great phone with a lot of potential (plus, it shows the potential of the OS going forwards for all).

I don't like h/w keyboards, plus the Milestone/Droid are pretty bulky in my eyes.

The only thing that would concern me in the US is this 3G connection issue on AT&T, so I would get it unlocked if you can & then you can use it with any network.
