found this in the hero section ... could this be tied with the predicted feb. update time ... just a shot in the dark but wouldnt that be great

From the information contained on the linked document, it appears that HTC is going to announce some additional hardware releases. It makes no mention of updated OSs for any phone, much to my dismay.

It has already been announced so I don't think they'll do it again. We know that it will be sometime in the 1st quarter. Every freaking day of not having the updated OS and knowing that it is close is frustrating but nothing besides patience will get it here any faster.

To be honest, as cool as some of the features in 2.1 sounds, I'm perfectly happy with 1.5. If they never released a newer OS version for the Eris I'd still be perfectly happy with my Eris. My Eris is snappy, I get solid battery life, and it has everything I want in a phone.

I'm sure I'll be excited when 2.1 comes out, but I'm perfectly content waiting for it.
