LG Optimus One gaming performance

I am a gaming addict. Whether in PC or in any device, gaming always gets my attention. And I have read some forums about android phones and eventually bumped into this good forum. I am planning to buy one, buy my budget is very tight, so as I read many forum posts majority said that LG Optimus One is a good android phone for budget-tight people.

My question is, can you please site the perfomance of LG Optimus One in terms of gaming and other stuff? Specifically for gaming, other apps, battery life, and overall capability. Please reply. Your insights for this thread will be highly appreciated.

Gaming - Optimus One has an Adreno 200 GPU installed, so it should give a decent gaming experience. I play NFS Shift on my phone which has good graphics, but even though I haven't overclocked my processor, it plays well, with no lags during the game.

Other apps - Thanks to its screen size, ample RAM, GPU, and 2.2 OS, Optimus One supports most of the apps in the android market - including almost all the free ones.

Battery Life - It has a huge battery at 1500mAh, which is the same as the Sony Xperia X10 (O1 costs 10500 while X10 costs 22000). Personally, I make a lot of calls, send loads of messages, and browse the internet for some time everyday, but even so, it easily holds for 2 days, even more if calls, media playing and internet usage is less.

Overall - The best phone at this price, even more capable than some other more pricy models.

I recommend you go for this phone.

Gaming is smooth as hell on my P500 (rooted, stock froyo)
NFS Shift runs smoooooth..
angry birds lags sometime wen there's quite a lot eye candy.
overall no complains on gaming dept.
but games like shift or angry birds will drain ur battery as in 4hrs of Shift on a 100% charge will leave u with 10-15% on froyo..
Maybe 3hrs on gingerbread..

I would not recommend this phone for gaming,the processor is too slow,I get massive lag playing angry birds space etc....

^ The processor can easily be overclocked at a safe speed of 729 MHz and a maximum of 806+ depending on ur rom , kernel .etc . It is a great phone . Angry birds doesn't lag anymore.[using gingersnap v1.0 by neko]

Most of the games work without lag
Including Assassins Creed Altairs Chronicles , NFS Shift.etc
If any game lags for you (it doesn't,believe me) just use Chainfire 3D

i use this device since march 2011 and i like this device a lot. i did not face any difficulty in playing any games. there are many budget devices availabe now a days, but still i like my mobile.

Nope. It didnt works well. Many games need high RAM and processor plus graphics but the p500 cant even reach these minimium requirements. So P500 sucks!!

If you don't mind lowering your expectations, you will be fine. I logged many, many, many hours into World Series of Poker, Drisk, Doodle Jump, and a few others.

It's the lower(est?) end of the scale in terms of performance, but you can do a lot with it.

The other thing is, the Optimus One is virtually indestructible. Trust me, I have never lost my "over the shoulder throw" challenge yet!

I have tried angry birds, cj strike back etc and they all work smoothly
