How Do I Deselect My Main GMail Account And Use A Secondary Gmail Account For Emailing?

Let's say I wanted to respond to an ad on Craigslist, but didn't want to use my main Gmail account, which has my last name in it. Instead, I want to use a secondary account that I generally use in case of SPAM, junk email or whatever. An anonymous email account, if you will.

Today I tried responding to an ad and went through the motions of typing out those coded words, but when I was prompted by an email to address the person, it automatically defaulted to my main Gmail account and didn't give me the option of chosing a different sender account (my secondary Gmail account). I went into the menu to see if it was possible, but I didn't see anything that would give me the option to change to the other Gmail account.

My goal is to have access to both email accounts when sending outbound emails in situations like this, and toggle between the two whenever I need to email friends or total strangers to conduct business.

Any suggestions?

NEW PROBLEM:

When I create a new text message, it lists ALL of the people that I've ever contacted via Gmail.

1) Can those people be deleted?
2) Where are they located on the SD card? (so I can delete them)
Go into your gmail account from your pc. Go into the contact list. Delete everyone you don't want as a contact. When you're done, go to your phone and sync gmail contacts.

Sorry I had edited my post to reflect that I had already done what you have already suggested, but that still didn't work.

In my edited post that didn't come through, I also added that Gmail decided to include the strangers I've contacted through Craigslist as a part of my contacts. So now I have hundreds of unknown contacts to choose from under my "People" contacts whenever I start up a new message. This only seems to be true only when I create a text message, but when I go to my People widget, it's only my personal contacts.

I've already gone through both my only two linked private and public Gmail accounts to delete those unused and one time contacts, but they still seem to be embedded in my phone's memory. This is both annoying and frustrating, so I hope that I can get this resolved soon.

Thanks for any input you guys/gals may have. As always, it's appreciated.

Try going into the ppl widget. Select Menu and then select view. Check/select all of your google accounts. The people should then show up in the people widget. You should be able to delete them at that point. Let us know how that works out. When you are done go into your Accounts and Syncs and deselect contacts syncing for the gmail account that you use for craigslist.
