Help again, about the noise from the camera

Hay everybody, pls help me checking if this is normal or my replaced phone is another defective one. thanks!

YouTube - nexus one problem

some information:
1. I have closed the camera app normally. I didn't suddenly took out the battery while the app is running.
2. The noise is actually pretty loud even with the battery cover on.
3. I used normal strength to do the experiment in the video. I didn't intentionally increase the strength to make it a problem.. Just like you casually put the phone on the table ...

i had same noise but not this bad.
it seems everyone else has the same noise.
i post this problem before.

I'd say mine makes a similar noise, though not quite as loud. Not always reproducible but I do here it once in a while when I lay the phone on my nightstand at the end of the day for charging. It doesn't effect the functioning of the phone or the camera so I think I just live with it. Had something similar with my iPhone 3gs when I had it.

thank you guys for your replies. actually what annoys me is that during basic using of the phone, like when you picking it up or put it down , gently, on the table, it makes that noise. Therefore it is hard for me to believe that the noise is reasonable because it is a phone with autofocus function.

Unless it is absolutely deafing, IMHO, some noise from the back is normal. Not sure why, but there are an awful lot of electrics in the phone.....possible camera or the lense.

My Hero, made by HTC as well, made the same tapping noise.

Didn't do any harm then.....(not sure bagging the damn phone on your hand / desk is a good thing though LOL).

Same as petergdakin... Hero then N1 both do this.

I think that this is an HTC thing. Don't let it bother you.

He's not banging it on the desk, just shaking it in the air. Sounds like something's loose inside. I'd have thought the lens focussing mechanism would have a lock position to stop it moving about when the phone's not in use, sounds like that one's loose.
