Cleveland, OH
Last night, the little lady and I headed out to one of our favorite hot wings spots near Cleveland, OH. We picked up another couple along the way. We sat down, ordered our libations and hot wings and then ... I pulled out the DROID. Of course, my friend Tony wanted to know the latest apps and mods that I was doing, etc..., but I didn't take too much time on that stuff. Instead, I fired up the SuperYatzy app, and the 4 of us had a blast playing an old skool game on a new skool gadget. Life don't get better than that.

Yea, I know. No rants or raves. No angry emoticons. Just a happy DROID owner wanting to tell about how his DROID made life a little better (for 4 people) for a few moments. Maybe it's just the Guinness talking. ;)

Cheers DROIDies!

thats awesome, im glad you guys enjoy, hey what rom are you using, i just got the bugless beauty on here last night, and its pretty cool, i havent put sweeter home 2 on it yet, i want to but i guess it wont be so bad to learn, i thought rooting and flashing roms was tough til i did it, so im going to give sweeter home 2 another try, i looked up your dr. pepper theme, and i searched your name, no results, any ideas, thanks

Hey Joe, love hot wings. Buffalo Wild Wings is one of our favorite restaurants. I have so many games on my Droid which is why i probably have around 150 apps. Anywho, have you tried the new Sholes 2.0.1 ROM? For me, it is twice as fast as the Beauty or Beast ROM o/c to 1.1ghz (and the sholes is only at 1ghz). It's crazy sweet. My only issue is wifi is broken :) which i guess is big but in return i get faster UI and system and also my call quality is back to near perfect since the Sholes ROM uses oc kernels based on 2.0.1 instead of 2.0 like Taz.

I suggest you check it out since it is free today. I have reinstalled my sweeterhome2 yet since i'm loving the crazy speed so much. Also, check out my uploaded Ximena version 1 theme on sweeterhome. There's still 1 or 2 things i needed to fix on it when i uploaded it but i think it's pretty good for people that want a completely minimilist approach. Let me know if you like it. It's kinda the opposite of your Dr. Pepper so maybe you'll hate it :).

Oh, and Guiness, yes......

I'm having more moments like that with my iPhone friends. At first they looked down on the Droid but now they are starting to see just how nice of a phone it is. As far as wings goes, have you tried the wings at Fat Head's? If not, I highly recommend that you do.

Can i ask the wing joint? BW3 and Quaker Steak are my favorites.

I'm originally from the Youngstown area, so the original QS & Lube was in my backyard. They pretty much set the standard for wings. BW3 is "OK", as is the QS & Lube in the Valley. But I highly recommend you venture out to smaller, less franchised locations.

Pounders Bar & Grill in Parma is good. If you don't mind their limited sauce selection. They only have over 100 to pick from. And when they say "hot", they mean it. ;)

Last night, we went to Mr. Gee's in Bedford, on Broadway. Their wings have an excellent crunch to them, and a buttery flavor that is quite scrumptious.

We typically go to another place in Bedford called Sirna's, also on Broadway.. If you like hot garlic wings, you MUST try these.

Your DROID can route you to any one of these. ;)

This just makes me want some good wings, but unfortunately I'm stuck at work. They just opened up an Anchor Bar here in Rochester. They've had one in Buffalo (an hour away) for a while, the self-proclaimed "original buffalo wing", but I went and I was not impressed. I guess original doesn't necessarily mean best. Definitely going to stick with the smaller joints.

Thanks for making me hungry though... damnit.

Had hot wings last night myself. :)
I thought this thread was gonna be about the Super Bowl, but Yahtzee with good friends can be just as priceless.
I got that app and I've never used it. You're good times story of one of my favorite old skool games on a new skool device has inspired me to make a point of doing that this weekend, Joe!
(Motorola oughtta be payin' you, I swear! :D)

I'm guessing this all happened before the wings arrived at your table. Buffalo wings and touch screen devices don't necessarily play well together.

:D You got that right. We played half a game before the wings showed up. Chowed down like we were all going to the electric chair ... then finished up the game once our hands were sauce-free again. ;)

For the record, even though I did get a freakin' Yahtzee! ... I still managed to come in last place. I didn't feel too bad though. I was the one going home with the DROID. :p

That's exactly what I was thinking!

That's the one problem I have with expensive, touch screen phones. We get so used ot always having them out and using tehm, that wings, nachos, etc. are tough to eat...lol

Funny, we were out last night at a local bar, and a simple look-up of a song artist resulted in an hour-long trivia duel between all patrons at the bar. My Droid and a friend's Palm Pre were doing the fact checking as fast as we could.

Little-known factoid: we were guesstimating the age of a certain era of artists, and almost no artists from the 60s era of rock are over 70. We had to go further back. We all thought we'd find at least a couple of older rockers in the mix.

Man, now I'm craving awesome wings. Best I had was in a local pub in Emerson, NJ. Every Sunday for football, they put out the meatiest, tastiest wings I've ever eaten, in diff varieties. They also had a bunch of awesome dishes out, and it was all completely free.

Nothing makes me miss being back home more than food...

Oh, and Droid does.
