Guys, our source says that "You've got a dedicated bunch of guys here. That's great!

I just read Han's plead for more info on the processor or on which website a real leak went to.

Can you tell the gang that I can't reveal that, but that I can confirm that there will definitely be certain components in this phone that haven't been seen in any other phone in the US so far? And I'm not talking about the screen. :D

Believe me, I would tell you guys everything if I could. I just can't. There's more than just my job at stake, honestly. But I also want to keep the optimism going."

Now, I'm not going to tell you who said this, but you guys need to believe it and receive it. (My being an ordained minister came out there for a second :p)

I'm thinking my post was spot on......haha

Ok, let's break this down. . .

Components not seen in the US so far. . .

That, at first, kind of pissed me off because even the 1.2 GHz OMAP 4460 hasn't been seen in the US so far, and that's the lowest spec acceptable to us, right?

But then he mentioned "IN THE US". . .so does that mean that whatever IS in the Prime is in a phone somewhere else in the world??

Like in Korea, in the SGSII HD LTE???

AGH HA... What was Vandyman saying 20 pages ago?;)

Well if it does only come with 16gb and no SD card expansion, I am certainly glad I have my unlimited plan with Verizon. I can just cloud everything and stream. And fortunately I don't have in-laws period, much less ones that live in the nether regions.....

Exclusively cloud-based not so fun if you have to roam outside the US and pay for data (or as I do apply it against the global data limits). Hoping for the SD card.

He mentioned me! I feel so tingly, all over my body. . . .hmmm. . . yes, that feels so tingly and good!

Seriously, Steven, thanks for the update!

Now, what components can he be referring to??

I think he has to be refering to the Exynos 4212 and the Imagination gpu that is paired with it. Notice that he was specific in saying "not in the U.S. yet." If it wasn't found in any phone in THE WORLD yet, he would have said that it isn't found in any phone. But he was specific and said "in the U.S." So, to me, that means that the Galaxy SII LTE HD has the Exynos 4212 in it in Korea, and the Nexus will be the first phone in the U.S. to have the same CPU and GPU setup.

I don't know, own-horn-tooter!

What's in the SGSII HD LTE??? Seriously, I don't remember. But I think this is it!!
The true specs are so tight lipped on the SGSII-HD but yet they are claiming that it has be released in Korea.

The specs are on the home page of this site, but the cpu should be EXYNOS 1.5...:)

Let me go back and see, My head is spinning.

Both Samsung and Anandtech have said 4212 is only now sampling, and Galaxy SII LTE HD is already shipping, so there's no conclusion to be drawn about 4212 on Prime.

My personal opinion, I'm sure this phone will zoom real nice with whatever processor they put in it so I'm not too worried about that aspect. What is a possible deal breaker for me is no external on board storage. I don't know if I can deal with a phone with no microSD card support, that's gonna be tough for me. What will I do when I have a butt load of apps and the storage fills up? Now I have to delete something I may need one day? And with apps coming that will utilize the dual core and HD screen type phones, I'm sure they'll start to increase in size and downloading the bigger apps via 4G shouldn't be a problem. I hope like hell we can cloud apps as well and use the cloud just like it's an microSD. But like it was mentioned before, what about the people who go out of the country or live out in the middle of nowhere where signal is limited or is kind of in and out and what not? This might sway SOME people to wait for the next thing that has nice specs with removable storage ya know. Ok, I'm done. /rant

Lets hope this means exynos. All of this inside info sort of points to it.

Han, ditch the woman. Go back for her later. This back and forth is important!

Hmmm. . . .back and forth banging our heads against the wall with no solution in sight and an evil Verizon genius (with one of our own - Steven) peering down at us and laughing gleefully while they rub their hands together. . . or. . . .being nice to my wife and enjoying all the benefits that entails. . . .

Thanks for the article, Vandyman. At least that would hint 1.5 GHz. But no mention of the TYPE of processor! Oh well. You tried. I suppose.

Later gators
