Root Phone Storage Problems

My wifes EVO is running MikG 2.57. When first installed there was 200mb+ of free storage space on the phone. She only has maybe 10 apps if that installed. Her phone storage is down to 40mb now. I wipe cache and dalvik at least a couple times a week on a consistent basis. Pictures, music, videos, etc are all on the SD card. SO what takes up all that space? Why does the phone storage continue to shrink over time? Is there a way to see what things are using that space and is there some kind of temp files or something that I can clean out?

No partition, it is the stock sd card. I need to get us both a class 10 and partition it. But she only has a few apps so I never thought it would be a problem. I deleted all sms/mms messages and that didn't help much. Facebook could be a big one. Do you just go to settings-applications-facebook and delete the cache?

I know ocnbrze has a different opinion on the class of the sdcard but after having the stock class 4 and now having a class 10, I haven't seen a significant difference in the speed of the phone but it's up to you;) I would definitely partition though and if you do see a difference then at a later date, get higher clas sdcard.

Depending on what is on the the sdcard, partitioning should only take about 45-60 minutes. Well worth that hour to gain much needed space;)
