Help Bluetooth crashing phone

Has anyone else experienced this, when i try to use my bluetooth headset the phone after a few minutes switches itself off (yes i did try a search!). In addition to that people have been telling me that they can hear my voice breaking up a lot more since switching to this phone.

I'm really surprised that for such a high end device it's pretty naff for basic phone calls. I love it for everything but using it as a phone. My Hero was much clearer and BB Bold clearer still and neither of which had problems with Bluetooth.

Have you tried it with any other Bluetooth headsets?

I use a stereo BT headset for listening to music and it's fine. Have taken the odd call and it hasn't crashed the phone yet.

I just switched my headset off and the phone hasn't crashed since, how weird. I'll try it with a different headset tonight and see what happens....

Well it seems the headset was the problem. As for my voice breaking up i see it's quite common with droid/milestone....

I think i'll send it back and try a Nexus One if i can't find a fix, no point having all the bells and whistles if you can't make a basic phone call :/

What network are you on? I'm on Vodafone in the UK and haven't had a problem with breaking up over 1.5 months of use.

You do know the support thread you linked to is for the Droid (different mobile radio technology - i.e. not GSM - and on a US network) right?
