I'm sorry guys.. I just got off the from the Verizon guy.. He called three northeast regional managers and they said the rumor is false but the release date is true...

He also said that perhaps Verizon may say something about pre-release after midnight, and to check back tomorrow.

I wouldn't apologize for getting semi-confirmation from the regionals. Will wait for an official announcement. I didn't really expect them to start preorders with out some form of announcement whether it be by emailing out to the folks who registered or late night public announcement. So close.

I had a nexus dream last night I got a call back from one of the executives and he said to go to 118th and ditch rd today at 1157am and I could but one from the store. Turns out the intersection doesnt exist but close there's a 116th and ditch rd on the other side of town unfortunately no VZW store. If therewas I would've been there!!

if i decide to order through amazon wireless whenever they have it available, will they honor my $50 discount that I have through verizon on my next upgrade?

the reason I ask is if not, I will order through verizon

but if they do then I will order through amazon (and wait if necessary) to save on taxes and potentially for it to be a little cheaper through them as well

Actually, what I was thinking a few minutes ago while on my smoke break was this: Its a good thing. Each of the predicted and subsequently inaccurate release date candidates came and went with a TON of activity from P3 and the like. Mostly for their own amusement. So, perhaps he may have been in the know all along.

So, he may begin tweeting crap tomorrow and over the weekend, if he reads this thread and wants to poke at us. Of course, he may actually tweet something useful. Who knows. I bet he doesn't say a word until the day because he knows its true.

Highly speculative I know.

hate to bust everyones bubble, but there is no way a pre-order starts at midnight tonight without a previous statement from verizon stating that. best case scenario is an early morning announcement that pre-orders will be starting at xx:xx o'clock tomorrow, or possibly immediately after the announcement

But this phone release isn't like any before it. Who knows what they'll do.

I would NEVER let that happen to my phone. I am so careful with my phone, in my ~1.75 years of owning multiple smartphones I have gotten nary a scratch/crack/dent in any of them. And I don't use cases or screen protectors I sort of have an OCD for clean, non-smudged screens so that helps lol
