Me too. Hoping for a Wednesday 11/23 release. I said that a while back, but it didn't jive with what any of the sources were saying. If I had to - I would fight with the soccer mons in their minivans rushing to Target, WalMart, and Toys R' Us - but I'd rather not. I feel like I'm Jason Statham in Death Race when I go out on Black Friday.

Those soccer moms are brutal!!!!

Well a Wednesday release is actually not entirely out of the question, considering that the Verizon doc said week of 11/21... it could very well be Wednesday :O

Yea, nothing like the announcement email showing up on the announced phone, after you have bought it. SMH.

Really? I've never had a problem with Samsung hardware. Before I started using smartphones Samsung and Nokia were the makers of the best phones out there, IMHO. My Fascinate has rock solid hardware in it and has been great with that respect. The only issue I've ever had with Samsung is there software and the length of time it takes them to send out updates, but I think the update thing is only a problem in the US. Other than TouchWiz, I think Samsung makes a fantastic product.

I totally agree. The best phone I ever had (non smart phone) was a Samsung. I had it for 4 1/2 years, never had any issues and I dropped dozens of times, and fell for the "OG" Razr craze and replaced it. I think I went through 2 or 3 of the original Razrs.

I haven't texted much in the past month really- too much lag. Right now, this phone is basically a media player. And a sore one at that.

What makes me nervous is that I went through THREE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 devices... all were defective. I returned the 3rd and final Galaxy Tab 10.1 for an Asus Transformer 10.1 and haven't had a bit of trouble with it. I understand one person's bad experience with a device doesn't mean ALL devices from said manufacturer are going to be bad, but three bad devices in a row makes me have reservations about a Samsung-manufacturered phone.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, there are slipups when it comes to hardware defects. The GPS on my Vibrant was never really fully functional for instance. And I also have a GT 10.1, and I know a lot of people were having the Newton Ring issues with the first two batches or so. I have a first batch model manufactured in June and have had no issues with the screen or with the device at all.

But even with the people who did have issues, Samsung either replaced the screen with the updated one that doesn't have the NR issue, or issued them brand new Tabs altogether, no questions asked, in about a week. So in my opinion, they righted that wrong.

I really hope it doesn't launch on Black Friday. I loathe that day, but if it meant that I could get the GNex, I'm push my way through the crowd for it. I really hope an Monday/Tuesday/Wedneseday release.

Agreed. My fiancees family is in town this entire week for TG. They go shopping every black friday... I loathe malls and BF. I have already made it clear I will not be joining the group on BF and will be going snowboarding. Couple that with a storm projected to roll through later this week.

If this launches on BF... it will make for a tough decision for me

I've had really good luck with Samsung tv's. I love my 58" samsung plasma that I have mounted above the fireplace in the living room.

Guys, guys, let's not get all worked up about the release date. Let's just use some logic, shall we?

The HTC device was released on a MONDAY (11/14). Why? Obviously because they couldn't release two huge phones at once, and SGN is the best of the bunch, so it deserves its own Thursday slot. So yes, it will be released on THURSDAY (11/17).

Sigh. . .

I think at 11 days I was just at 6gb, now I'm going to break 14gb and this is the last day of my billing cycle.

Most of my texting also happens on Google Voice. That way when Im mirroring my phone to the Hotel TV for jetflicks/netflix I can text and read on my tablet..

The volume problem seems to be systemic across the whole phone, not just music. Hopefully it only affects a small number of Nexi - or there's an app work-around until a permanent fix can be implemented.

Sadly, if your coming from the OG Droid you are going to be disappointed in most new phones speaker audio levels out there. The OG rocks.
When I returnd the Dinc2 I compared every phone in the store to my OG Droid and was disapointed how all the MFG's had seemed to have dropped the volume level ball.

I am still going to remain optimistic.

Took my sister to a Vstore yesterday to add her on to my plan. She was spending $160 per month for herself and my nephew. When he was going through my billing cycle he said I average 31 minutes per month. My sister averages 330 minutes.

On a side note. After adding the two of them and with my company discount our bill is now $155. All I have to do now is add my mom, get the nexus and give my mom my thunderbolt.

Since I am an optimist and part time fool,I will be at Verizon at 10:00 a.m. I have had some luck in the past with just walking in to a store and getting what I am looking for. In 2003 I was going to order my Mach1, I walked into the Ford dealer and it was there.Every option, exact color and no wait except for dealer prep.I also got a Nintendo Wii for my kids by just walking into Target,no wait there either. Going for the Tri Fecta tomorrow,besides the only chore I have to do tomorrow is pick up my weekly comic book order.

TV bragger... my 56" samsung seems so small now. I'm still rocking a DLP projection Samsung. I did have to replace the color wheel in it this year. TV is about 5 years old now and still works great.

My next tv will be a Mitsu 82" or 92" dlp. Bigger tv for same price as lcd/plasma. Or I'll just go projector and screen over 100".

Been using 3 GB a week on LTE, no throttling. Still faster than my broadband at home according to speedtest.net
