On my TMO Sidekick 4G, the Gmail application (V. 2.3.5.2) is not notifying me of new email. Within the settings of the app, I have the box checked to notify me in the status bar of my phone, when new Gmail arrives. However, I don't get that notification in the status bar of my phone.
Anyone have any ideas what I can do to rectify this?
I tried downloaded a few Gmail Notification Widgets from the app store. Those did not work proroperly. My understanding is that Gmail's last updated prevented 3rd party apps from being able to access their database or something, which pretty much renders Gmail notifier/email widgets useless. So I uninstalled the widget.
But bottom line is that within the official Gmail app itself I have it checked to notify me in status bar when new Gmail arrives & it's not doing that. Any ideas? Thanks.
