Hello to all!
I lurked for a while and finally took the plunge...from a Storm1....very most def. super thrilled I did!
I can type on the vitural landscape keyboard light years ahead of the storm and just as fast as on the iPhone. I can type on the slide out keyboard better than the storm and when surfing it doesn't take up any screen room.
I use(d) documents to go on the Storm and now on the Droid...my spreadsheets seem HUGE, so easy to read/navigate.
As a hiker/backpacker the mapping function and the screen resolution, My Tracks rules!
Phone quality is better than the Storm1 post 5.0 upgrade.
I could go on.
I've already ordered the Innocell 2600 mAh battery and Innocase to match.
So far I'm impressed....yes there will be little dissapoinments here and there but that's ok.
Oh, almost forgot....tethering with my netbook couldn't have been easier, and the software from the Marketplace was free! I had been paying (mr. honest) to tether via Verizon and the Storm but when I discussed my billing with the Ver. rep I noticed it was $30 dollars cheaper I even pointed it out....they said you couldn't tether with the Droid! HA!
I'll keep lurking...sadly I'm old and not technosavvy but thanks to all of you who are!
