Help Some questions....

Hey Guys i wanted to ask some questions.... i will be glad if any1 answers them...


1) I read it somewhere that in our phone wifi icon doesnt get displayed in notification bar as i have started using wifi first time in my mobile i would like to tell you i can see that when i connect it....

2) I am getting in app " SD tools " write speed - 5.2Mb/s , Read speed 9.1Mb/s.
I am using Class4 Verbattim 8GB memory card ( With around 3 gb free ) Does it mean SD boost is working or not?

hey how can u get write speed more than read speed.

and yes u r right dere is no wifi icon in notification bar but there is one when we turn on wifi hotspot

Yes....updated and does it mean SD boost working or not? tested 3 times and updated results.....

and maybe its because of my new notification bar wait let me upload that pic

yes it is working it should be near 5-6mb/s without d tweak

@cool.gautam in your rom has wifi range has been improved ?? Coz im still on leandros v1 which has wifi range improved...... And can u tell me which tweak did u used for improving wifi as im making a custom rom would like to put it in my rom.....

Bt can u spot the differences along wid d command line.
However,I will spot them when u release d flashable zip.

wifi icon is working fine in stock rom as well as in your avesmaxx which I had tried earlier. I am using a custom framework with black task bar. I'll switch over to your hybrid shortly.

write speed is 5.2 is less than read speed 9.1 apprears normal. why varun shouldn't it be like that only???

can't comment on SD boost man. Will test it and tell. pls tell how to test.

Gautam first posted write speed as 9.1 and read speed as 5.2 which is reverse and so I made gautam correct it.

I personally feel that sd boost is working......wel i think using class 4 and Verbattim company's memory card results that..!! and i haven't yet released hybrid v1.3

And Wi-fi range can't be improved whatever the router has provided it will go to that only....ya it can be tweaked like wifi scan interval and other things but range can't be improved atleast not of router maybe of receptor

I m having sandisk 8gb n without any tweak I get 5.2mbps write speed n around 10 read speed.its class 4.n when applied sd tweak of 4096 read ahead cache same write speed n read speed abt 16mbps.
n if u want to know that sd tweak script works n changes read ahead cache value then u can confirm it in system tuner.
n abt wifi I can see wifi icon when its connected to a network only,in disconnected mode no icon n I can't remember exactly but same was the case with stock.I m on hybrid 3.

Afterall u have sandisk......but for the sake of 8 gb n not that much budget i purchased verbattim i am quite happy with it i don't want to see theoratically marks but performance which it gives.. purchased it at letsbuy for just around 4oors whereas same class6 sandisk costed 850rs. So u spend double money for just speed?

I haven't tried ever ebay yet. They have hidden costs I just feel I know u would contradict this...but some products have shipping charges and some don't feels strange.

this is my old transcend class 2 sd card.. without any tweak.. if u have to get a higher class sd card, make sure u choose a good company like transcend or kingston not something like strontium

I have class 10 transcend 8GB card still then i get only 17.3Mb/s read and 6.9mb/s and that too after the tweak.

actually class 10 cards should offer a minimum of 10mb/s... according to Secure Digital - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A friend of mine has a letsbuy transcend class 10 sd card write.. he gets around 22 mb/s read and 14 mb/s write

copy all your files from ur sd to ur pc, make a clean format and copy everything back.. i think your speed should improve
