Anyone tried WebSharing

I just saw this on the market. It claims bulk upload/download to transfer entore folders or albums, stream music to computers, view photos, watch videos. This is all over wifi. It's $2.99 (bummer), so i was wondering if anyone has tried it and is it worth it.

I use the free version to transfer files to and from my SD card only because Windows 7 doesnt seem to like my phone half the time. The lite version does exactly what it says and very well so Id imagine the paid version will do the same. As for streaming videos and such, 2.99 really isnt bad considering what your getting. I dont know how the quality would be but if you dont like it return it within 24 hours.

free only does 1 file transfer at a time. Paid does multiple files as well as streams videos, music, pictures etc to your pc.

If you just need to transfer files, SwiFTP works great, and is free and does multiple files/folders at a time. The downside is that you need an FTP client on your PC. If you use Firefox, then FireFTP/SwiFTP is a great combo.

Have you tried ES File Explorer? The LAN feature (through your WIFI connection) allows me to stream, transfer files, all with no hassle. It is free on the market as "EStrongs File Explorer."

This. I've used ES File Explorer to get music and files off my NAS and PCs. It's a pretty useful app.

I'm the author, and am happy to help you get it working. There's a diagnostics feature that's accessible from the "main screen' of the app. Just press the menu key, then "diagnostics". Once the diagnostics have run, there's a "send support email" option at the bottom of the screen that will e-mail the info such that I can see it.

The most common problem is probably that the phone isn't "really" signed on to the wireless network. Phone will indicate wifi active and strong signal, but in fact won't actually be able to even ping other hosts on the network. Turning wifi on/off and/or rebooting the router tends to cure this.

Other common issues are people signed on to the wrong network, IE users who don't enter the "http://" in front of the address, and people who have (typically unknowingly) reconfigured their wifi equipment (e.g. NAT settings) such that devices on their own network cannot talk to one another.

If none of the above are applicable and the diagnostics output looks fine, try "pinging" the phone from the computer. To do this, open a Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Mac OS X/Linux) and enter:

ping 192.168.1.9

(replacing "192.16.1.9" with whatever WebSharing says the phone's IP address is) and see if you're able to get a response.

And my apologies if you're an advanced user and have already tried all this...if that's the case I would really like to hear from you and try and get this solved.
