Help Message tone problem

Hi guys,

Over the last couple of days my message tone has been a bit strange.

Not the way it sounds but when the phone decides to play it.

A few days ago if I got a text message, my tone sounds and vibrates... normal.

Now it's started to just vibrate and not play the tone. The light flashes still. When I slide the phone open/unlock the phone to have a look the tone gets played and it vibrates!

If I leave it 5 mins eventually the tone will sound and it will vibrate with it. But it's 5 mins late?

Sometimes it works as normal.

I've changed nothing over the last few days weeks etc. It was working fine until yesterday. I've not used up any more memory.

The tone is a tone I swapped over from my old phone 3 months ago when I got the G1. So thats not even changed.

Any ideas?

Well it seems to be better but I'll wait for a text from a mate before I judge it cos I'm textin myself to test it.

Have you tried deleteing it ... use another alert tone .... if it is ok then add the other back on ...

Right. No use, its still as it was. Same problem, no change. Any other ideas?

Oh and I'm using ringo pro app for the ring/message tones

Right seems its ringo pro causing the dificulties all of a sudden. I did update it recently. Maybe the problems been around since then but I just never noticed it.

I have taken the g1's message tones off of silent. As that's what ringo requires. I've gone into message settings to take it off silent and select the new tone. It gave me the option of selecting a tone from ringo. So I did that. So now my uploaded tone plays straight away. Which then prompts ringo to play it again as I still had it selected seperatly via ringo. I've now put ringo on silent and still have the same tone selected in message settings via ringo and it plays straight away. Strange but it worked.
