FM radio apk from motorola - Page 2 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Download the system.tar on this page
In there you will find a folder called app and then scroll down till you see CameraMoto.apk extract put it in your sd card and install it using astro like normal. Fyi the camera itself force closes but the Video Camera works with effects and the light working.

P.s in the app folder there are many apps that i have not try so if your rooted please do a nandroid backup before doing anything funky. There are many apps that work so have fun. Also In the scene mode you can select night mode for better night video. Weird

There's also an app called Mototorch that lites up both LED's (I think) that can be used while shooting video. I had it before doing a total wipe a few weeks ago and forgot to reinstall it.

Does CameraMoto improve or enhance the video quality in any way, or does it just activate the lite?

Well it's a separate video camera app all on its own. It does have a light that activates when your push record which is nice and i think the option to press night mode might help with shooting in dim situations. Again its daytime by me so i can't test that theory out. The quality well i might just film something outside quick and upload to youtube, that might be the best way to let you guys determine if it is better.

That would be great... I'm always looking for ways to improve the video recording!
Thanks!

Well if your rooted then just edit the build.prop. The default is 3000000mbps at line ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps. You can change it to 6000000 which is 6mbps for a more crisper video. Also you can change the framerate from 25 to 30 but i would not do that. They say to go to 8000000mbps but trust don't. Also at 6000000mbps the file size gets pretty darn big. Use root explorer to change the values and reboot.

wait so what does this camera do? it breaks the camera for taking pics but adds night vision to video recording? and its inside of an apk for fm radio? huh?

Ready for this none of the above. Its a system dump and inside there is a cameramoto.apk. The apk doesn't break the camera, it install a separate video and still camera. The still does not work only the video. :p
