Ok, here's the thing. During the month of November and December the samsung vitality (admire) was promoted cheap and also given out in my town. The radio stations gave out at least 2 phones per day during mid November and mid December. I myself bought it cheap, which came with the speaker connection and the headphone set. The phone also came with the muve sd card. Its got some kind of hidden partition in it which a 4gb will give you 3gb for the muve app and 1gb for pics and whatever, or the 8gb which gives you 6gb for the muve and 2gb for pics and whatever. Now allot of people I know have asked me If I know how to regain the whole sd card. Ive tried. Thanks to sue from IRC Channel who helped me, (sorry your name is long and dont know how to spell it right lol). She told me a way to delete it and write all zero's thru my ubuntu. It didnt work. I've also tried doing it thru my windows and two softwares and still nothing. I dont remember the name of the first one but the second one was paragon. I litterally left a screwdriver jamed between the button on the zero on the keyboard and left it alone for two days manually writing zeros. Still didnt work. My question is, does anybody know of a way to hack into this sd card??? Any help is really appreciated.

check out this tool(mini tool partition wizard) it may help you achieve the goal you're after:)

I will look it up and try it out.

Oh and btw, I forgot to mention that the hidden partition seems to also be hidden not just on the android but also on the computer. No matter how you look for it, it only shows the 1gb and not the other 3gb.

Any software yal can think of, Im willing to try it out. I can get most softwares for free anyway without having to pay for it except for anything that requires a boot .iso disk. I dont wanna erase my hard drives on my computer.

I also have a muve music sd card and searched hi & low for answers on how to reformat the sd card to have that extra space.

I came to the conclusion that it'd be a lot less stressful to just buy a new sd card of the same size which are a dime a dozen...just saying.

Oh Im using a 16gb sd card, Im not using the muve sd but I hate to see sd cards go to waste like that and alot of people I know are thinking the same way. It would be something cool to learn in my opinion to be able to hack it some how. If it gets figured out then great, Id like to learn how, but if it doesnt then oh well. Ill just throw it in the box I got along with all the other computer stuff I got. :D

I can't say I don't agree, if someone was able to hack into it and/or possibly even move that specific partition of the Muve music sd card to say a bigger sd card with more memory than I'd be all for it too and would definitely try it out.

I also use a different memory card (32GB, no joke) but more or less swap between the Muve music sd card and the 32GB sd card.

Thanks for your effort but it didn't work for me. The sd card is a4gb and it still only showed 1gb. The other 3gb is hidden in there somewhere but just no way in figuring it out yet.

I have removed it before, that is the problem. I didn't have a card with muve installed on it at the moment, so I used what I had. But, I know this works, I have removed Muve before.. If only you lived in South East Michigan..

I have a friend that lives near me that claims to have done this to 3 other Muve 4GB SD cards, which is the same that I have. He said he did it in Windows 7's Disk Management. I however can't get that to work, nor following the instructions in the video (using TestDisk) or any other programs for that matter.

I did notice in TestDisk a line when I first analyzed the SD card:
" check_FAT: Unusual number of reserved sectors 8 (FAT), should be 1. "

Not sure what this mean, but I feel it could help out somewhere along the line.
I'm going to try using TestDisk with the SD card loaded directly into the computers memory card reader, instead of through the phone. I'll keep you posted if this gets me anywhere.

Angablade, do you think you may be able to find some time to help me out with this, like maybe walking me through it over the phone or with emails? Hopefully you see this and respond to me. I'm going to send you a message on here, and give you my email address, and cross my fingers that we can get this to work. Then I would make a step by step set of instructions, and explanations, to help out the scores of people that are stuck in the same boat as me. Thanks. :)
