Anyone else notice this?

You're in the market, scrolling around and you see that one of your apps has "new update available" next to it.

You go into "My Downloads" and nothing? You even scroll to the app in question and it just says "installed" next to it?

What's even better is I get those notifications telling me that "new updates are available!" and when I click the notification, it takes me to "My Downloads" and nope, no updates listed.

I downloaded aTrackDog again as a fix and even that is having some issues. Like it says there's an update, gives me the option to install the update from the market, it opens the market and the app doesn't have an update. Or I use aTrackDog to find updates, install them, and they STILL show up in aTrackDog saying there's a new update -- as if I didn't just install the update. Odd.

Yep there is some corruption of the indexes maintained and are not in sync ... it gets even stranger if you have apps on sd from rooted phones .... so i used aTrackDog and the the Mydownloads ... if you are sure that there is an Update and your index wont allow it ... just go into settings and manage apps and uninstall and then reinstall that will clear and straighten the index ...at least for that app ...

Factory Reset is the drastic method to get totally new sync'd indexes

So I supposed this is the same reason why under My Downloads some of my apps are listed as "Installed" while others are listed as "Free"? This has only been happening since Cupcake.

The one's marked FREE in "MyDownloads" means you need to refresh them as there is probably an update waiting ...

That should update the index ...

i have exactly the same thing the only way i can look for updates is to manually search all applications by date and see if any of mine are listed there, where it says update available and can be updated.
i still get occasional updates, like i went on holiday for a few days leaving my phone here, and when i got back i had like 5 updates available, but considering i used to get that in like a day its clearly not right.

Yeah, my updates are acting screwy too. For some installed apps, I won't get update reminders. Just if I'm browsing the market, and see my app, will it say "Update Available". And sometimes I get update reminders, but when it takes me to my list of apps, none of my apps say "Update Available". Hopefully reinstalling all the apps that just said "Free" instead of "Installed" will fix the problem.
