[Request] River Raid

I have been searching on the web for this to no avail.

I would love to be able to play River Raid on my Moto Milestone.

Does anyone know if there is one or maybe someone who will create it?

I loved that game on my atari 2600. On my windows mobile phone I had Activision Anthology which had river raid, HERO and pitfall. Another game I loved was kaboom.

Is there an atari 2600 emulator?

One possibilty is to download the gameboy advance emulator. They make activision anthology for it. When I had my gameboy, I bought it. It had like 50 games including Pitfall, River Raid 1 & 2, kaboom, fishing derby and more.

Yeah I checked that, but for the price of the anthology I can have a GBA, pointless.

I belive that I can help. Not with porting River Raid to Android but with having it run on it. All you have to do is download C64 emulator called Frodo C64. Just search for Frodo on marketplace. And then C64 version on River Raid which was slightly better than the one on Atart 2600. You can get it from planetemu.net. It's there and it works... Enjoy! ^_^

Thanks, got the rom and the emulator. Stuck on cheat option with no way to go into the game at this point. I have two different roms and both get stuck at the same point.

Any ideas?

Which point exactly? As I'll do tests of my own to see if it happens on my Hero...

Ps. I take that you're using disk not tape based version?

I am unsure of the disk version (unless you can point me directly to a disk based one).

I get stuck at the stage where it gives me options like:
Unlimited planes Y/N
Unlimited Fuel Y/N
etc.

Ow, yes, I understand now. Same thing happened with my version of disk image. However I just downloaded few other ones and will try them out within next 10-15 minutes. Will post on my results here afterwards... ^_^

Thanks amillion mate! This is an awesome game!!! I only had to switch to joystick mode to be able to shoot as no keyboard key would work for that (mapping set to various options).

I got loads of C64 games on my Andro I can't wait to run, unfortunatelly it's not always as easy to get them all working as it is with this one. ^_^

Hello,

I wrote River Raid for Symbian some time ago. Here's how it looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbbg2Pkb-ZE and now I am porting it to Android. The game itself works already, I just need to port the rest of the UI. So, hopefully one more month and it will land in the Market
