Downgrading Galaxy ACE from CM7 to Gingerbread

Follow rules properly.

***********************************
First download flash files here. password - ekache99

Now start your galaxy ace in downloading mode

First switch off your galaxy ace and press together (power + home + volume

down) keys and wow your galaxy ace is in downloading mode. Remove your SD

card. Now open downloaded archive and there will be a application "Odin Multi

Downloader v4.38.exe" open it, connect your Galaxy ace in downloading mode.

Odin will show com port after you connect your Ace.

After that can you see a option OPS in odin ya that one click it

and locate "Cooper_v1.0.ops" in flash files.

Click on BOOT and locate

"APBOOT_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5".

Click Phone and locate

"MODEM_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_REV03.tar.md5".

Click PDA and locate

"CODE_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5".

Click CSC and locate

"CSC_S5830SERKPH_CL260130_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5"

No need to do anything with EFS leave it blank.

Click start.

Till your phone is flashed take a 5 minute nap.

And when you wake up you will see your phone is started with

android 2.3.4

Now you can Install Official Gingerbread on This ROM or anything like FirstUA or Anyting can be Installed on this ROM.:D

all reps go to Galaxy Ace for this information

Thanks for the tute although i didn follow any of your steps as such.. i just used Odin and flashed 2.3.5 over CM7 coz my Wifi kept gettin messed up and annoyed the shit outa me..
Just sayin.. Im one of those guys who downgraded..

But no disregard for the ROM.. pure awesomeness.. alot of work has gone into it and i thank the devs for it plus for those who ported it to Ace.. but the Wifi needs fixing.. so im gona wait.. coz the simple rule for devs is.. You dont ASK for a ROM.. you simply WAIT for it ;)

I did upgraded with odin to 2.3.5 which is from Netherland. After 1-2 weeks I wanted to see if there a kies 2.3.5 for Germany. But even I installed alot (near 6-7 roms 2.2.1 2.3.3 2.3.4 different region roms xx xw ones) of roms with odin, kies is allways checking and upgrading the phone with the 2.3.5 from Netherlands. Only the, if remember right, xxkpo 2.3.5(SER) is changing the region to SER (i guess it is serbia?) but after downgrading to 2.2.1, kies says your phone can not be updated.

Before that Netherland 2.3.5 I could downgrade to 2.2.1 stock rom and upgrade via kies on a german stock rom.

mmmmm thats fecked im not really sure how to go about fixing this im assuming even after the updates kies is still recognizing your phone regionally as dutch? mmmmm a real long shot but do you think its got anything to do with what google account region is setup? i know thats a total shot in the dark but im not sure about anything else on this sorry bro

Don't think so because, I don't have the Sim card or wifi on, on the phone while flashing so no google account at all. With the old roms didn't have a problem switching from Polish or Russian to German with a 2.2.1 stock ROM I had for kies upgrade checks. My opinion stock rom >> random extracted roms.
Except custom roms, where the developer has something to loose their name on the community.

Hi Guys some query here.

As i am really wanted to flash back my phone to original stock rom, i followed the steps above. . . when i press the "VOL DOWN + HOME+ POWER KEY" what appeared on my screen is not the "downloading. . . ." but this one "Emergency Dload(ARM9 Mode)". I think there must be a problem since the process is stuck up to

Can anyone tell me what should i do so i can proceed with the flashing back to official gingerbread? Your help means a lot. . .

I installed cm7.2 had major prob with wifi and video camera plus gas but the Rom is shit hot. So thanks everyone who took time to build. It also has flash built but due to camera i had to change Rom. I don't have access to a pc and can't find any strait zip file to install same way as i did cm7. Can anyone tell me if its possible without using odin. Im now running ics stock Rom which has totally fixed camera and wifi its also quick as hell oh and no youtube problem which cm 7 had to. The one draw back i really miss from the stock 2.3.6 gingerbread is the swype keyboard. Does anyone know if there is a zip souly to install that.thanks everyone

Hello ViperKnight, hello Chismay,

I've got the same situation as Vipernight describes. My CM7.2 Ace doesn't get into downloadmode. When after removing the battery, sim and sd I connect to the pc first and than I hold the three buttons at the same time and while holding the buttons insert the battery I get into security downloadmode. Odin recognises the phone but doesn't start flashing. What can I do?

Download mode problem Soved:
Used the app "Reboot Menu [No Ads]" and the unwilling Ace went into download mode immediately! After that followed the instructions above and rebooted in Gingerbread 2.3.4.
