IDK about a test like this. I just tested mine vs my gf's TBolt and mine smoked her. The 3V0 was on home screen in less than 15 seconds easy. Her Bolt is still loading, already got messages sent and received before it hit the home screen. Guess I had fast boot checked off. Let's try it again...now I'm sitting at over a minute lol on bootup.
While there's no denying the E4GT has an insanely fast boot, the test in that video was rigged such that the other phones were made to boot intentionally slow.
An easy way to do that is to flash a deodexed ROM and clear the cache+dalvik. Slowest boot evar. But not typical.
Especially since I reboot my phone about once every 2-3 months... unless a flurry of good ROMs and/or kernels are released (waiting patiently for Netarchy)
lol I havent watched the video, but the EVO 3D takes for ever to boot. If only my phone didn't reboot itself randomly...My friend has an Epic 4G and it boots really quick!
I have to say, the first couple times I rebooted my EVO 3D, it took quite a while. I'm currently running SupraROM w/ Sense and it takes just about 5-10 seconds longer than the E4GT, but waaayyyy faster than the Thunderbolt or OG Evo.
Here are the facts. On average it's give and take. The Epic Touch does not have quick boot option so the only time it's faster is if you do a battery pull or a full restart of the phone. If you do a quick boot for the 3D it's going to happen the fastest.
Speaking for myself, I know that I really only do a quick off/on if the phone is acting a little funny or something so in that case the 3D will be faster every time. Quick boot is faster than even the Epic Touch. However for those rare cases that I do a full restart or battery pull or the phone battery dies and I turn it back on, the Epic will be faster.
But I agree that this is one of the least important things ever to compare IMO. Certainly for the vast majority of the population.
I agree, but now u can fix that, my phone boot in 5-7 sec, no joke. I stumbled across this by accident lol, then I had to look it up to see what I had done, well just to let u know I had no problems and my phone seems a little more responsive, that part is not a fact, ok down to business. While your phone is off, push the power button while holding the down volume button, and when the boot menu pop up select " fastboot ", then the back button

when did this start happening? did you install or uninstall something?
are you on Sprint or some other carrier?
are you the original owner? is it a refurb?
the telephone i use is stock non rooted. i have fastboot unchecked so it takes longer to boot up. it takes about 2-4 (im not counting) minutes to boot up. if i check Fastboot, it takes seconds....
Also have you factory reset your phone recently? Usually the first boot after a factory reset takes a long time (like 5 minutes or longer). But reboots after that should take less time.
Hey guys thanks for the response
yes i am rooted
my phone normally boots up with around 2 minutes but i installed the Amaze 4G camera and now this is happenening cant figure out to get the old one back.
im not on sprint (GSM).
and im an original owner
and i have fastboot CHECKED and it takes 5 minutes to boot..
First try clearing the cache and dalvik. The first boot after that should be long, but then they should be short. I bet its just something in your cache. Either that or install a new ROM.
