Ok. Apologies for this being my first post (a negative one)!

My phone was rooted running JFv1.5.1. I attempted to install a theme the normal way using update.zip and went through to the recovery screen. I ran the update and rebooted expecting to it to load through into the new theme.

However..

The phone loaded past the G1 screen and stayed on the android boot screen for a while. I decided to reboot and performed a wipe before rebooting again. This time it went through again to the android boot screen but has stayed ever since!

I have tried taking the battery out, but for some reason the android boot screen stays up. I can't perform a reset/reboot/recovery by pressing Home+Camera or Home+Power - nothing takes the logo off the screen no matter what I press. The android logo animation still plays so I know the screen isn't frozen. HELP!!

Well Welcome to the Forums even if it is under bas circumstances... I wish I had the answer but if you can not get to recovery or fastboot there really isn't much of an option...

Okay, update..

Managed to get to the recovery screen and have transferred the relevent files to root on to my sd card. I have got to the recovery screen using the power+camera buttons and am faced with the 3 androids on skateboards and the following text...

DREA110 PVT 32B
HSPL10.95.3000
CPLD-4
RADIO-2.22.19.26I

Oct 20 2008

Serial0 (highlighted)

No matter what I press I cannot action the update nor am I prompted to update. I only have the above text! When I first entered recovery mode it went to another screen mentioning that the battery voltage was low and I should change battery.

Help! For info, I do not have a nandroid backup and was just planning to root using RC7. Any ideas?
