EDGE vs. 3G Nexus screen difference(for me)

I've noticed my EDGE Nexus screen is hotter than my just delivered 3G ATT Nexus. Side by side, the 3G is quite a bit "cooler"(on the blue side).

It's a good thing and a bad thing. IMO, my homescreen and live wallpapers look better on the EDGE(hotter) Nexus, while my videos look better on the cooler 3G since the red push is now gone. Seinfeld always looked like he was wearing lipstick but not on the 3G.

There is definitely some variations in Nexus screens tho.

There are variations among the Tmo version as well. My screen is warmer than my wife's. My original N1 was also way more red than the current one. I don't think it's a difference between the two versions.
Yeah I remember when the TMo version launched that some folks had screen differences then too so I agree.

Seems BG noticed it on his devices and posted about it and caused a shitstorm.

I do believe he is biased and a PITA but he is right about this particular issue.

That said, I have no issue with it. It's only noticeable if you sit and stare at both devices which is a stupid thing to be doing. Both screens look really really nice, albeit slightly different. Which screen looks is better is a matter of opinion, imo.

Oh and just for the record and BG's apparently bad memory:

This did and has gone on with the iPhone as well. I can remember when it first launched people were complaining that some screens were more yellow while others more bluish.

Here is a link from a quick google search:

Daring Fireball: iPhone Display Color Temperature, and the Difference Between Builds 5A345 and 5A347 of the iPhone OS

There are many many more links and stories along the same lines. This is basically a non story and a common occurrence. BG is just butt hurt because he knows the Nexus is the best mobile device out right now.
