Compared to my Wildfire S, it has waaaaay less. Maybe that's just me having a phone that has REAL internal memory and I don't even notice it.... I know there was this stupid WHERE app or something that isn't on there...and even VM Downloads. No traffic bloatware...all in all, the only things on my phone it came with that I don't use are airG, Connected Media, Dock Mode, Fb Chat (I use Messenger), any of the Google+ related apps it comes with, Friend Stream, Play Movies, Polaris Office, Talk, Task Manager, or Twitter. It's got a lot less bloatware than most Androids from VM. I approve.

I suppose, compared to a new Dell computer or something it doesn't have much bloatware. But I'm currently breaking in a brand new one after cutting my Android teeth on an LG Optimus Logic with Gingerbread and compared to it, this EVO V 4G with Ice Cream Sandwich is out of control with bloatware. I routinely kill "running" apps with the app manager, then I noticed the phone was uncomfortably hot in my pocket and noticed the battery was half drained! So I opened the advanced app manager settings and looked at all the running process and holy frikin cow there is a lot of stuff running. Just full app list with system apps scrolls on forever and half of it is running. I began to "Force Stop" 90% of everything that didn't sound critical and the phone cooled quickly to a normal temp. I'm definitely going to look into rooting and customizing the rom because this thing is off the hook eating my battery.

HTG Explains: Why You Shouldn’t Use a Task Killer On Android - How-To Geek

Rooting is a much better option, as you just get rid of the bloatware that's offending your battery. But Android is not Windows, and is designed to handle closing apps when the system needs it.
