My post wasn't directed at any users of this forum. It was directed towards the 3rd party news sites who claim "inside sources".

Nothing supports a April-May release is my point. It's all hear say just as every other date has been.

Fair enough on the outside sources. But, as for an April-May release:

1. Incredible passed FCC testing in February. It seems like the average time from FCC to Market for VZW is roughly 6 to 8 weeks;

2. I think NKT posted that once devices reach the level of testing that allowed him access to the phone, it's usually 4 to 6 weeks to market (please correct me if I'm wrong);

3. The phone has turned up in VZW inventory- usually 1 to 2 months from that time to market; and

4. Most rumors, even on this site, have a mid-April to early May time frame.

Conclusive? Not by a long shot. But without a doubt, circumstantially supportive.

Samsung Announced one.

Not only that, so far ATT, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all spoken during the key note sessions. There is only one more key note left and thats tomorrow. Seems odd nothing at all from Verizon. Today may still be the day.

Unless I am mistaken, I do not believe that anybody providing dates has listed a senior/ranking employee of VZW as his source, nor have they claimed to be one themselves. In fact, the only people on this forum who have actually provided tangible information related to the phone's specs (i.e., tested or know someone who tested the phone) have NOT promised anything about release dates. Indeed, NKT has said time and time again that based on the circumstantial evidence he sees, he is projecting a mid-April to May release for this phone. Stericson would do no more than confirm that the phone is coming this spring. In short, nobody with any actual knowledge has stated any announcement or release dates as being set.

The problem is when someone put forth a 3/23 date other people who should have known better repeated their claims like they had heard from the Oracle at Delphi. Then when someone tries to remind people how group think doesn't make announcements, we're ignored.
You may not want to assign maliciousness to people. But I'd lay money on definitely 1 and maybe 2 sources that I believe to be just that. People don't want to focus on the general statements that people like NKT or Stericson make because it doesn't do them any good. Even though those statement are more accurate then most.
